
West Banbury Farm Cottages - Terms and Conditions
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
You enter into a contract with Cloverpark Properties Limited and become subject to these terms and conditions when we receive your deposit and confirm your booking. A deposit of 30% of the total holiday cost is payable on booking. The balance is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday. The total cost is payable on bookings made less than eight weeks in advance. Payment can be made by cheque or direct bank transfer. A provisional booking (a booking for which no deposit has been received) is held for 5 days and will become a booking only on receipt of the 30% deposit. Non-payment of the balance 8 weeks in advance shall be deemed to be cancellation of the booking, the deposit will be forfeited and we reserve the right to re-let the cottage.
CANCELLATION
Notice of cancellation must be given by telephone immediately and then in writing and sent to West Banbury Farm, Broadwoodwidger, Lifton, West Devon, PL16 0JJ. If the cancellation is for a holiday commencing more than 8 weeks from the date of cancellation then the deposit will be forfeited. If a holiday is cancelled less than 8 weeks from the commencement of the holiday, the total holiday cost will be retained by us. We will make every effort to resell a cancelled holiday and, if successful, may refund up to 70% of any successfully resold holiday.
PRICES
Include bed linen and tea towels but not towels or linen for cots. For those staying for 2 weeks, there will be a change of linen provided on the middle Saturday.
ELECTRICITY
Is additional and is metered and is charged at the current rate our supplier charges us. We do not charge you the standing charge or the VAT levied by our supplier. A meter reading will be taken on arrival and again on departure, and will be due in cash or cheque prior to departure.
CARE OF COTTAGE
The hirer is responsible for the cottage, is expected to take good care of the property, its contents and fittings and must ensure that the cottage and its contents are left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. We reserve the right to charge a £50 housekeeping fee if the cottage is not left as you found it. All damages and breakages are the responsibility of the hirer and the cost of making good such shall be payable on demand.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
You are requested to arrive after 3pm and to vacate your cottage by 9.30am on the day of departure. However, should you wish to arrive earlier or leave later, please ask and we will try to accommodate your requirements.
PARTY SIZE
The maximum number of guests allowed in the cottage is defined by the number of beds available. Under no circumstances may this number be exceeded except by prior arrangement. The hirer agrees not to cause nuisance/annoyance to occupants of other cottages. We reserve the right to demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons who, in our opinion, are causing/likely to cause a nuisance to other guests or any detriment to any part of West Banbury Farm Cottages.
CHANGE OF COTTAGE
We reserve the right to change which cottage you are in, to another the same size or larger, according to other bookings taken (unless you have specifically asked us not to do so). If for any reason beyond our control a cottage is not available or has been rendered unsuitable for letting (e.g. water damage) on the date booked, we will offer alternate accommodation and/or alternate dates or offer a refund of all monies paid by the hirer. There shall be no further claim against Cloverpark Properties Limited.
CHILDREN
All children must be supervised at all times by an adult. This includes, but is not limited to, the grounds, the children's play area, the tennis court, sauna and pool. In particular, entrance to the sauna and pool is by means of a key code. Care must be taken not to reveal the key code to children and entry by children 13 or under unaccompanied by an adult is expressly prohibited.
PETS
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a lead around the grounds, and must not be allowed on the soft furnishings or left unsupervised in the cottage. Please use the dog bins provided.
CAR PARKING
To ensure the safety of all our guests and in particular that of children, all guests are asked to use the car park, and not to park by their cottage except for unloading and loading your luggage. Parking is entirely at the hirer's own risk and no liability is accepted for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The use of holiday accommodation, equipment and all/any facilities is entirely at the hirer's own risk and no liability is accepted for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained by the hirer or any member of his party, or any vehicle and its contents or any possessions of the hirer or any member of his party. Neither do we accept liability for a breakdown of any facility at West Banbury Farm Cottages which is beyond our reasonable control or resulting from any misuse or negligence of a guest using equipment or facilities resulting in loss, injury or accident.
ACCESS
The owners and/or their representative shall be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during your holiday.
SMOKING
We regret we do not allow smoking in the cottages, Games Room, pool, sauna or any other building.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In addition to the terms and conditions set out here, there may be specific terms and conditions which apply to the facilities on the site, such as those concerning use of the pool. These will be displayed prominently on the site and/or in the cottage folders and constitute part of these general terms and conditions.
PRICES AND ACCURACY
Whilst we endeavour to ensure that the prices and information contained on our website http://www.westbanbury.co.uk/ and in our brochure are correct at all times, regrettably errors may occasionally occur. Please therefore ensure you check all details of your holiday with us at the time of booking, particularly if you have seen details relating to West Banbury on a website or web link, which may contain information, not provided, or authorised by us or is beyond our content control.
VAT
At the standard rate is included in the price.
COMPLAINTS
We want all guests to enjoy their stay. However, in the unlikely event that you do have a complaint, please advise us immediately. It is difficult for us to investigate complaints once you have returned home.
